Super Mario Land (GB – 1989)

One of the launch titles for the original Gameboy, Super Mario Land, developed by Nintendo R&D1 with producer Gunpei Yokoi and designed by Hirofumi Matsuoka, was the first main mario title not designed by Shigeru Miyamoto. Mario traveled through 12 levels to rescue Princess Daisy in her debut from an alien named Tatanga in a place called Sarasaland.
