Duck Hunt (NES – 1984)

Packaged in at launch with Super Mario Bros, and available for NES bundles that featured the Nintendo Zapper, Duck Hunt, created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi, was a light gun game that had players shooting ducks and clay pigeons for points on their home television screen. The game was inspired by the 1970s Laser Clay Shooting System developed by Gunpei Yokoi for arcades and bowling alleys and by the Nintendo Beam Gun Series, a Famicom-era light gun line that used a realistic looking revolver.
