Super Mario World (SNES – 1990)

For the Super Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto and Nintendo EAD developed a much more complex Mario game with beautiful new artwork by Shigefumi Hino, new characters like Yoshi, and a brand new soundtrack by Koji Kondo. Super Mario World is considered one of the best games on the SNES, and one of the best platformers of all time. In an interview with games press, Miyamoto claimed Super Mario World as his favorite Mario game.
